This week, I calculated Cramér’s V to measure the strength of the association between gender and race and found out that the Cramér’s V result is 0.037, meaning the strength of this association is very weak. In this case, the low value suggests that while race and gender are linked in fatal police shootings, other factors likely play a larger role in shaping these disparities. For the report, I focused on writing the issues, findings and discussions. Then my partner and I discussed and wrote the remaining sections together.
